Use the St. Lucie County Jail for an immediate facility-status question. Send requests for an existing booking or release record to the Sheriff's Records Unit. The Sheriff has not published fixed Records Unit hours or a guaranteed number of days for completion, so confirm availability before visiting.

The right destination depends on whether the person left county jail, remains under state authority, has a pending court case, or moved into another custody system.
- For a released person or an existing release record, begin with the St. Lucie County search and records path, then contact the SLCSO Records Unit if the online five-day window has passed.
- For supervision after release, use Probation & Parole. The Florida Department of Corrections handles operational supervision, and the Florida Commission on Offender Review handles parole decisions.
- For the newest county-jail departures, review Jail Releases: 24 Hours. Only SLCSO can make an authoritative status confirmation.
- For a date estimate or change alert, use Projected Release and VINELink Inmate Search. Florida VINE is also available at 1-877-846-3435, 24 hours a day.
- For the court reason behind release, use the St. Lucie Clerk's Court Case Search or research request. The Clerk lists fax 772-462-6908 and estimates 2 to 7 business days based on record availability and complexity.
- For a sentenced state prisoner, search the Florida Department of Corrections offender databases. FDC Victim Services is at 501 S. Calhoun St., Tallahassee, FL 32399-2500 and 1-877-884-2846, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- For a youth at St. Lucie Regional Juvenile Detention Center, use authorized DJJ or juvenile-court channels. The center is at 1301 Bell Ave., Fort Pierce, FL 34982 and can be reached at 772-241-6260; adult release feeds do not apply.
- For federal or immigration custody, use the Bureau of Prisons Inmate Locator or the ICE Online Detainee Locator System. A county release timestamp may reflect a transfer rather than release to the community.
- For a facility-specific route, choose one of the three detention-facility pages in the footer.
